A Tradition of Pride

At the South Broadway Athletic Club, our commitment to the neighborhood goes far beyond our walls. Our Community Outreach and Volunteer Committee is dedicated to upholding a tradition of pride by supporting local youth, families, and organizations that make St. Louis a better place to live.

How We Support Our Community

We believe in active service. The SBAC works year-round to provide resources and support to those in need through several key initiatives:

  • Youth Athletics & Charities: Supporting local sports teams and youth-focused non-profits to keep kids active and engaged.
  • School Supply Drives: Collecting and distributing essential supplies to ensure neighborhood students are prepared for the classroom.
  • Essential Needs: Organizing donations for local food pantries and clothing drives to support our neighbors in transition.
  • Animal Welfare: Providing much-needed pet care supplies to local shelters.
  • w Offering our historic venue for non-profit fundraisers and community events.

The SBAC is always looking for members and neighbors who want to make a difference. Whether you want to join our committee, donate supplies, or suggest a local cause that needs help, we want to hear from you.

How You Can Help:

  1. Donate: Bring non-perishable food, clothing, or pet supplies to the club during our monthly meetings.
  2. Volunteer: Join the committee to help coordinate our next school supply drive or charity event.
  3. Spread the Word: Help us identify neighborhood organizations that could benefit from our facility or donation programs.

South Broadway Athletic Club Building a stronger community since 1899.

Flag #1198 represents SSG Mike Ashman Dennie, from Fayetteville, NC.

Soldier in the Army and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom. His unit was Detachment A, 106th Finance Battalion, 1st Infantry, based out of Kitzinger, Germany.

SSG Dennie was killed in action on September 29, 2004. The flag number means he was the 1,198 killed in the war on terror.
