ABOUT OUR CLUB
South Broadway Athletic Club was founded on cold and boring night; December 5th, 1899. It first started as a men’s only club and was established on boxing and wrestling. Over the past 120 years the club has been known to hold several different events; from Mardi Gras dances, Bingo, and Meat Shoots to Music Festivals, Expositions, and Concerts. We have been active in numerous Saint Louis sport activities such as softball, wrestling, boxing, washers, youth sports sponsorships, cork ball leagues, and many more. S.B.A.C is more than just a building, S.B.A.C is its members; past, present and future. Hundreds of members (women and men) have thrown blood, sweat and tears into keeping this club open and active in our community. After almost closing our doors in 2015, South Broadway Athletic Club is on the RISE!! Our membership has increased, and we have lots of plans for our future. Come visit our historic building to check out one of our upcoming events or even inquire about joining. South Broadway Athletic Club is a rite of passage, not just for city dwellers, for everyone from Saint Louis County to Illinois!
